The Ahwahnee

If you are looking for a venue that is outdoorsy but also elegant, look no further than the Ahwahnee. The Ahwahnee Hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark that is the epitome of rustic elegance. Open year-round and located on the valley floor, this venue is sure to satisfy all your desires for a Yosemite venue.

*My recommendation: Have your ceremony and reception at the Ahwahnee, or elope in the Park and stay the night here for your honeymoon!

Yosemite Valley Lodge

A little more casual but modern at the same time, the Yosemite Valley Lodge located on the valley floor is a great location for receptions. This lodge is also open year-round where you can stay at the lodge or camp in the nearby campgrounds.

*My recommendation: Elope at a beautiful location in the park, then return here for your reception! (You can even elope within walking distance!)

Wawona Hotel

Located near the Wawona entrance to the Park, the Wawona Hotel is filled with a Victorian Garden charm you won’t find anywhere else in Yosemite. One of the original mountain lodges in Yosemite, the Wawona is a beautiful white series of lodges surrounded by giant trees. It is also on the National Historic Landmark and near the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and the Pioneer History Center.

*My recommendation: Have garden ceremony + reception here, or elope and return here for a fun filled reception where everyone can lodge!

Wanting to elope instead but want to stay inside the Park?

These locations don’t have event spaces but could be a great fit if you want to elope and then camp or lodge within Yosemite.

  • Curry Village

  • Housekeeping Camp

  • Campgrounds: there are many campgrounds within Yosemite and all have varying seasonal schedules. Most take reservations. The NPS site is very useful while planning: https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/campgrounds.htm
