Glacier Point Sunrise Elopement

A perfect Yosemite sunrise elopement and wedding day for ‘G&D’

We started with their ceremony at Glacier Point in Yosemite National Park. I met ‘D’ at her car, where she was putting on the ‘finishing touches’. She and her friends walked through the early morning light towards Glacier Point where the ceremony was going to be held, and where her soon-to-be husband waited. ‘D’ and her father exchanged a few words then began to walk to the ceremony spot. They began their ceremony right before official sunrise, which was beautifully backdropped by views of Half Dome & Yosemite Valley with the most serene sunrise. After the ceremony, we took some photos at Glacier Point with family and friends, and some of just the couple.

After the ceremony, ‘D & G’, myself, and a couple of their close friends hiked to Taft Point for a fun photo session and a mid-day wedding day hike! ‘D’ had changed into hiking clothes for the hike, then changed back into her wedding attire at Taft Point with a little help. Unfortunately, it was a little smokey in the mid-day sun, but we made the best of it and still got some amazing photos and had an amazing time.

After our Taft Point hiking adventures, we traveled back to a rental cabin in Yosemite West where they were having their reception. The rest of their family and friends were already there getting the party started early. ‘D’ changed into a beautiful vintage gown passed down by her mother from her own wedding day. A local BBQ joint catered their reception, and the views from the rental property were amazing. It was a beautiful evening and fun was had by all!
